Over the last 10 years we have developed a service at Midland Feeds Ltd; the delivery of 1 tonne bags nationwide through a pallet delivery network. This has enabled farmers, no matter where they are in the UK to be able to use one of our products. For customers using Biscon Meal, Cereal Mixture, Cereal Blend or Mixed Pellets, they are able to order a 1 tonne bag and have it delivered within a 2 to 3 business day window. When Midland Feeds Ltd started this service, a handful of bags would be leaving the site on a daily basis, during 2023 there were approximately 8,000 tote bags delivered nationwide.
The service is provided through a pallet network, once the animal feed has been ordered, it is bagged at Midland Feeds Ltd, placed on a pallet to be tracked and delivered direct to farm. Servicing Midland Feeds Ltd customers for cattle and sheep feed nationwide. This service has become a very important part of the business and has helped expand our customer base. It also gives the opportunity for all farmers to try Midland Feeds Ltd.
Over time, we have developed the bags to carry the animal feed safely through transportation and the pallet company have developed tracking systems which allows us to follow bags and enable delivery to customers within the required time frame. We are constantly looking at ways to improve and expand this service and so far in 2024 we have continued to reach new Midland Feeds Ltd customers whilst continuing to please our existing customers.
